STRESS BEATING TIPS
WRITE IT DOWN
Make a list of what’s worrying you. It’ll look more manageable when it’s defined, and give you goals to work towards, instead of a threatening, amorphous mass of anxiety.
TAKE ACTION
Do something right now about the first problem on the list. Phone the tax consultant, doctor or electrician, whatever it takes, and make an appointment to sort it out.
SET DAILY PRIORITIES
A list of “to do’s” for today will help you decide what’s more important and what can be done later.

LAUGH
Take every opportunity for a good laugh. It’s a natural stress reliever and raises your immunity. Watch a comedy, avoid “heavy” subtitled Russian ones – or dip into a funny book.
BE GOOD TO YOURSELF
We spend so much time running ourselves down, it’s no wonder we can’t cope. Make a list of your good qualities and re-read it when life’s getting you down.
SAY IT!
Don’t bottle up feelings of resentment and dissatisfaction; talk about them. You’ll find that coping with things as they happen is far better than dealing with them when they’ve had time to become an issue.
PAMPER. PAMPER. PAMPER!
Book a massage, spend a whole Sunday morning in bed with a book, or simply take time off during a busy day to sit at an al fresco restaurant and just feel the sun on your face.
GET AWAY FROM IT ALL
You may not be able to take a two week holiday, but do plan a full day away.
Drop the kids off with friends and go for a picnic in the country, or spend a night at a hotel.
